Kua hinga te tōtara i Te Waonui-a-Tane

Ē iii ē, kua mate te pou o te aroha tō tātou Whaea Ruth. Haere e Ruth, haere. Kei tēnei puna roimata o Whaingaroa nei, koe e tangihia ana. Tuku tonu i te aroha ki tō whānau e noho nā ki te kakahu taratara o tō mate. He puna aroha e kore e mimiti. I tainui mai te aroha nā tō haere mai me tō kaupapa aroha here kore.

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of our friend and mentor Ruth Beaglehole, a strong advocate for children and families around the world, including in our community.  Ruth touched many lives - there will be an opportunity to share our stories and love for Ruth in Whāingaroa.  More details to come once arrangements have been confirmed, please check the Parenting with Nonviolence - Whāingaroa Facebook page.

Bringing Aroha Home

Poutiria te Aroha offers a parenting programme that resonates with whānau Māori.

Our programmes draw on Māori cultural values and tikanga for raising tamariki, along with the traditions of nonviolence, evident in the philosophy of peaceful resistance in Aotearoa (e.g. at Parihaka) and overseas.
